Miracle Temple Church has aimed to be a community-based church since its birth in 1973. It has always been interested in meeting the needs of people in its community. Our founder, Bishop Joseph D. Clemmons, Sr., established the South Norwalk Social Service Center, a nonprofit organization tasked with meeting the social needs of people of all ages in Norwalk. We believe that meeting human needs is a core purpose of the church’s existence, an expression of our love for God and its outworking toward our neighbors; therefore, we want to do our part in greater and more impactful ways. Our pastor, Dr. Devale Hodge, has shared a compelling vision with our congregation that involves engaging with our larger community, building collaborative relationships, listening to people, and implementing a plan for intentional action that builds a stronger community.

We would like to hear from you, however. Hearing from you how our local church can assist and support the growth and development of our families, neighborhood, and flourishing is vital to us. Therefore, we need your help!

What is our goal?

We aim to reach as many people as possible, providing us with enough data to shape and inform our community-based actions and plans.

What is our target audience?

If you live in the Norwalk community, we need you to complete our survey. We want to obtain feedback from all people representing all cultures, socio-economic statuses, and ethnicities.

What is the closing deadline to submit the survey?

We are in the planning stages of determining a practical course of action and plan for implementation; therefore, the deadline to submit the survey is August 1, 2024.

What will the data collected be used for?

We want to let you know that all data provided through our survey is confidential and will not be used to demean or dehumanize any person in any way. The collected data will be analyzed in focus groups within our congregation and utilized to determine ways our church can support our community.

What are the significant areas of focus included in the survey?

The survey will ask about employment, education, housing, nutrition, financial management, transportation, and health and which of these areas should be prioritized.

How long will it take to complete the survey?

The survey should take at most 5 minutes to complete.
