Strongholds are areas in our lives where the enemy has entrenched himself, using lies, sin, or fear to keep us bound. But as believers, we have divine power to break free from these strongholds through prayer, fasting, and the truth of God’s Word.
In 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Paul reminds us that the weapons of our warfare are spiritual, not physical. Through prayer and fasting, we engage in a battle that tears down the lies and arguments that oppose the knowledge of God. We have the authority to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, allowing His truth to set us free.
Isaiah 58:6 reveals the heart of God for fasting—not as an empty ritual, but as a powerful act that breaks the yokes of oppression and sets the captives free. True fasting leads to spiritual breakthrough and freedom for ourselves and others.
Matthew 17:21 underscores the importance of coupling prayer with fasting when confronting stubborn spiritual barriers. Certain strongholds require focused spiritual discipline to overcome.
Jesus promises in John 8:36 that when He sets us free, we are free indeed. Freedom in Christ is not partial or temporary—it is complete and eternal. Through Him, we can experience liberation from anything that seeks to enslave us.
Psalm 107:14 reminds us of God’s faithfulness to deliver His people from darkness and bondage. Whatever stronghold you are facing, God’s power is sufficient to shatter it and bring you into the light of His freedom.
Through prayer and fasting, we engage in a battle that tears down the lies and arguments that oppose the knowledge of God.
