I am filled with immense excitement and anticipation as I share the news of the establishment of the Miracle Temple Community Development Corporation, Inc. (MTCDC). This new non-profit organization marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ, one that extends our reach beyond the walls of the church and into the very heart of our community. The MTCDC is not just another outreach initiative; it is a step toward the fulfillment of a greater calling to serve, uplift, and empower those around us.
The foundation of MTCDC comes from a deep-seated awareness of the urgent needs within our community. As a church, we have witnessed firsthand the struggles, challenges, and gaps in resources that many in our neighborhood face. From economic hardships to limited access to educational opportunities and family support, the call to action has never been clearer. For me, the establishment of MTCDC is not just about addressing these issues—it’s about fulfilling the very essence of our mission as a church. Our mission is to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples. Through the MTCDC, we are focusing on the “Loving People” component of this mission, taking the love of God beyond the sanctuary and into the places where it’s most needed.
At the core of the MTCDC’s mission are five key areas that will guide our initiatives: education achievement, financial literacy and economic growth, family empowerment, social services, and health and wellness. These areas are not just abstract goals; they are tangible pathways to improving lives and transforming communities. Through these programs and initiatives, we will be able to provide resources, guidance, and support that empower individuals and families to break free from cycles of poverty and adversity. From offering workshops on personal finance to creating educational programs for youth, our goal is to foster an environment where people are equipped to thrive.
