Dr. Devale A. Hodge, a Buffalo, New York native, serves as the Senior Pastor of Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ, located in Norwalk, Connecticut. He completed coursework at Valor Christian College in Columbus, OH; earned an associate's degree in Early Childhood Development from Rasmussen College in Minneapolis, MN; and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Religion, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling, and a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Studies from Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. His doctoral dissertation was entitled, "Toward Transformative Christian Education that Facilitates Spiritual Formation at Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ."

Dr. Hodge’s professional journey includes an extensive background in early childhood education, case management and social services, and hospice chaplaincy. His pastoral care training includes completing four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN, and Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Dr. Hodge holds an Ecclesiastical Chaplain Endorsement with the Military and Institutional Chaplaincy Department of the Church of God in Christ. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Dr. Hodge serves as an Associate Chaplain with the Connecticut Department of Correction, overseeing the administration and supervision of religious affairs across three state correctional facilities, ensuring coordinated access to spiritual care and programming for incarcerated individuals of all faiths and denominations.

In 2024, Dr. Hodge founded the Miracle Temple Community Development Corporation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to developing programs and initiatives that uplift and empower residents in South Norwalk and beyond. His vision for community transformation reflects his deep commitment to merging faith with practical action for the betterment of society. His leadership roles include Vice Chairman of the Ordination Board for the New York Eastern First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ, Administrator of the Lower Hudson District, and Secretary of the Interdenominational Ministers Fellowship of Norwalk and Vicinity.

Dr. Hodge’s journey in ministry was formally inititated when he was ordained as an elder in the Church of God in Christ in 2013 by Bishop Fred W. Washington, Jurisdictional Prelate of the Minnesota Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. After over two decades of faithful lay ministry, Dr. Hodge was called to shepherd Miracle Temple in February 2021. His appointment as Senior Pastor was confirmed on May 22, 2021, by Bishop James Pullings, Jr., Prelate of the Eastern New York First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ.

Beyond his professional and ministerial accomplishments, Dr. Hodge is a devoted family man. He resides in Norwalk with his wife, the gracious Lady Tiffany Hodge, their niece, Talyonna Patton, and their son, Devale Samuel Hodge, Jr.
